Yeah. We have two missions. First, we just want you to have amazing coffee and know the people who grow it. We want to deliver that coffee in a new, fun and exciting way by using the magic of web3. We believe the world needs more positivity and things to bring us together. On the outside, the brand is fun, whimsical, lighthearted and sometimes even a little self-effacing (life’s too short to take ourselves too seriously, right?) But on the inside, we have a team of award winning coffee professionals with decades of experience who are obsessed with delivering the very best cup of coffee possible. We also have deep and abiding relationships with coffee growers all over the world. These people are our friends. They are incredible folks, who you should know, and we can’t wait to introduce you.
But just below the surface of the fun and whimsy, 0xCoffee is working to redefine the coffee industry using blockchain protocols, from seed to cup; from the coffee grower to the coffee drinker. It’s fun to collect and flip NFT profile pictures and trade coins, but we all know this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the potential that web3 has. We want to unleash that potential into an industry that has lacked transparency for hundreds of years. We have big, hairy, audacious goals. The first of which is getting all of our coffee offerings on-chain so there is a fully trustless record from harvest, through international transport, all the way to your cup. Once everything is on-chain, we’re limited only by our imagination. We see a future where coffee farmers get a smart contract residual when someone a thousand miles away buys a bag of their coffee in a retail setting. We see DAOs that pool assets and and distribute funds to cover crop loss due to climate change. We see a lot in store for the coffee industry as we adopt these powerful protocols. Yes, we realize these are big, lofty goals; but the truth is, they’re really not that far out of reach. We live in a world where the technology exists. 0xCoffee is dedicated to working toward the adoption and implementation of these protocols in world changing ways, but at the end of the day, all we can do is point in the direction of change and create a path toward it. The real change happens when people realize the potential their morning cup of coffee has to change the world.
